Coaching with Luna

I am currently available for private coaching. My experience is primarily in the software industry, but I am happy to meet with people looking to improve their interpersonal, leadership, or organizational skills in any role.

About You

I love working with anyone who is:

  • interested in building or honing leadership skills, either as a people manager or as a senior engineer
  • looking to improve their organizational and interpersonal skills in order to build their career at any stage
  • hoping to increase their compensation, level, or impact within their current company

I do not typically focus on job hunting or resume writing.

About Me

I have learned so much about organizational dynamics from the changes I’ve seen in my previous roles. I saw a series-B startup go from a chaotic group of people who all knew each other to a well-structured engineering organization and got to learn directly from the leadership who made that happen. I managed a team during the startup’s acquisition and early integration into a much larger company. I became a director just as the last round of startup leadership left and the organization had to become truly a part of the parent company.

Just as the company changed, so did the needs of the people around me. I helped struggling junior engineers add structure to their work and start to excel, and then proudly watched them become leaders on their teams. I taught new managers how to gracefully transition from individual work to leadership, and then got to joyfully read through positive feedback from their teams and fellow leaders. I showed senior engineers how much they could increase their impact by understanding the subtle interpersonal challenges they were hitting, and then saw them lead significant technical improvements across teams. These coaching opportunities have been the most rewarding part of my career.

Throughout all of these experiences, I’ve learned from incredible mentors and learned just as much trying to put useful advice together for my mentees. I would love to advise and learn from you, too.

Luna’s coaching has been pivotal in my career growth—first guiding me as an engineer, then helping me navigate the transition to engineering manager, and later supporting me as I grew my team as a senior manager. She has an incredible ability to ask the right questions, challenge my thinking, and provide the clarity I needed to move forward with confidence. Her support has been invaluable, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance.

– C., Senior Engineering Manager

Luna has been a fantastic mentor and coach to me over the years. She adapts her approach to whatever you need in the moment, asking the right questions that make you rethink a situation—without telling you exactly what to do. Drawing on her own experience, she offers both tactical and strategic advice, always delivered with empathy and kindness.

– E., Head of Engineering

Luna has helped me navigate the tricky political situations that PMs often find themselves in–responsible for results but with very few levers to pull. She’s helped me find concrete ways to push projects forward, helped me grow as a leader, and given me good advice about where to focus myself strategically. Luna is able to balance a very lucid analytic view of the incentives at play in a given situation with a deep and thoughtful care for the people (including me!) involved. Her advice has made me a better PM and also a better person.

– S., Principal Product Manager

Rates

I am a big fan of transparency (you can read more about that in my values document), and I find financial transparency particularly important—for example, publishing my rates openly.

My current coaching rates as of August 2025 are a sliding scale between $100 and $250 per hour. I recommend basing your position on that scale on your approximate hourly earnings. If you are underrepresented in your industry based on gender, race, ethnicity, or sexuality, I welcome you to pick the lowest end of the scale. I will not ask you for a reason for your sliding scale decision.

Before we decide to work together, I offer a 30 minute intro call at no charge. This will help us both make sure that I am actually a good fit as a coach for you.
